Meet The Team
DAVID DEVEREUX,
MANAGING DIRECTOR
Three decades ago I returned from Europe and was keen to start something of my own. I'd worked as a labourer and enjoyed networking and generally helping people out, so labour hire seemed a good fit. The year was 1994 and 'The Labour Exchange' was born....
What matters to me most is people and I have learned that, to be successful, you need to surround yourself with great people. I am very fortunate to have a fantastic team both in our office and out on our sites.
In my spare time I like to spend time with my partner Robyn and our our 2 boys Marlo and Hew. I'm also a keen music listener and enjoy seeing live bands play. If I had more time I would play more golf or go fishing....as long as it's fun, I'm not fussy...!!
JACQUELINE DORN,
PEOPLE AND CULTURE MANAGER
Having thoroughly enjoyed a decade in the Education sector, Jacqueline decided to pursue a new career for a challenge in 2019 and hasn’t looked back since.
She says that the best part about her job is how deeply rewarding it is to be a part of each person’s journey in life, be they here for the long haul for an exciting career path in Construction, or passing by; it’s all part of creating some great life stories along the way.
When she’s able to grab pockets of quiet time, she likes to sneak out of Auckland for a roadie, go on the hunt for new novels (loves a psychological thriller!) and loves a good snorkel/ sea-walk.
JEREMY RUANE,
Payroll officer
Jeremy Ruane is our Payroll Officer, and boasts over ten years’ experience in payroll in a four-decade career in the fields of accounts, HR and office administration, primarily in the maritime industry.
Away from work, he’s a Liverpool FC fanatic, and his time outside the office is dedicated to reporting on and recording the history of football in New Zealand, with particular emphasis on women’s football, which he has followed and written about for well over thirty years. Auckland-born, he runs his own website, part of which is devoted to the history of shipping at the Port of Onehunga.
BRITTANY ROSE,
RECRUITMENT & HR ASSISTANT
Before diving into the Recruitment & HR world, Brittany was knee-deep in retail management, hustling and bustling to make things happen. Now here she is, taking on this new challenge and loving every moment of it.
She really enjoys being able to bring people on board with LX and giving people the opportunity for work whether if it is for a short time or the long haul.
Off duty, you'll find Brittany enjoying a good book, relaxing with her cat and picking strawberries in the summer.
DANIEL CAMPODONICO,
ACCOUNT MANAGER - NORTH
Originally from Uruguay, Daniel has lived in New Zealand for almost 20 years and has worked in the construction industry for 15 of those years.
He loves sharing his experience and knowledge with the workers on site which led him to gain qualifications in Health & Safety in construction.
In his free time Daniel enjoys beach walks and soccer.
MIKE DOHERTY,
SOUTH DRIVER
Mike has worked for The Labour Exchange for 10 years and has established strong relationships with his clients in South Auckland who appreciate his reliable, friendly approach.
